Spooktober #10
Only to more to go to hit the 12 goal! And this is a story I want to write in full soon.
Only to more to go to hit the 12 goal! And this is a story I want to write in full soon.
My first article for Summer Camp 2026 is officially finished! I had a number of prompts I wanted to do, but went with prompt #10 first "A mysterious work of fiction that's spawned conspiracy theories"
I'm really happy with how it came out, and I hope you guys like it <3
PS. On my initial read of it I noticed a sentence that needed an "a" added. But afterwards I forgot what sentence it was so if you can find it and tell me I'll love you forever <3<3<3
Greetings, fellow writers and creatives.
The latest update is live, bringing us to a profound crossroads in the Saga.
In Raven & Quill #10 ("The Predator’s Rust"), I dive into the behind-the-scenes of Chapter 12. We talk about the "Window of Decay"—a narrative constraint that strips away technical jargon to focus on how the world punishes the body. It is a study in the "Anti-Triumph": Qianna broke her cage, but her evolution has isolated her from the very people she saved.
In Chapter 13 ("The Silent Force"), we pivot to Krysaalis navigating the psychological warfare of the Captain’s Gallery. It is a chapter about the Somatic Debt of masks and the friction of a shandaryn lifespan witnessing human mortality.
I’m curious to hear your thoughts: Did the shift in Qianna’s demeanor catch you off guard, or did you feel the lock snapping?

Spooktober #10
For the Remote prompt. I enjoyed writing this one as I love sky cities and islands. Its one thing that puts fantasy above science-fiction as I struggle to make a sky city work in my head on a world like Venus say when it would just be so much easier to build in space, but in a fantasy setting its a lot more simple.
And I am quite pleased I am only five prompts from the badge. At this rate I may get there within a week.
Summer Camp #10 I think
I enjoyed this prompt. The character of Luther Hilvorn I mention in the article has been a part of the story I want to write for a long time now. He was inspired by Liam Neeson in the Phantom Menace but has evolved a lot since then. Luther is one of the main characters who remains no matter if the story is a space opera or fantasy. There are only seven of them and regardless of what genre, they are integral. This article is the first time I have tried a little backstory for Luther so the prompt was a lot of fun.
> At #10 already?? Oh boy, Summer Camp prep! I also made a card game.

Oh boy, Summer Camp is coming! The preparations for it are happening right now
I’m pledging to achieve the Silver Badge as I have several things going on in July. Hopefully, the laptop I ordered will arrive in time.
Asmo hosted a fun little challenge last month, Dip a Toe In, to write an article that could exist in the world of another World Anvil member. Inspired by BlueFairy74's Dragon's Hoard board game, I created a dragon-themed card game called Scourge War.

"Cursed Kraken blocking the waterways! Overland Llama transport is an amazing way to adapt. The one drawback is all that paperwork. I don't like paperwork either." -Lavani
Lavani is a collector of stories. She would love to read about your world. You can submit Summer Camp articles for her to read by leaving a comment on her Reading List here on World Anvil.
And here we are, on the last entry for this series. Today was a long one, as I started restructuring the Astronomy section since I published a bunch of stuff as generic articles before finding out that planets were a sub-type of Geography. Also made the rest of my main timeline public.
As for the actual writing bit, today I published Tau'hrin from the backlog (along with its own timeline entry) in addition to a new species called the rabbac.
My main focus for a while will be the completion of my current manuscript with sporadic bursts of publishing to combat bouts of boredom or writer's block.
Hope y'all are having fun doing what you do. Shoot me a message on Discord if you want. My handle there is jakkym#0048. Peace!
